Uncle Vito's Pizza sits comfortably in the heart of downtown San Francisco at 700 Bush Street, serving up classic Italian pizza and hearty pasta dishes in a no-frills, neighborhood-style setting. Inside, the atmosphere is unpretentious and cozy, with a modestly sized dining room that can fill up quickly during peak lunch and dinner hours—so be prepared for a short wait if you come with a group on a busy evening.

This spot has a strong appeal for office workers and locals looking for a reliable, satisfying meal without fuss. The vibe is straightforward and friendly, with attentive service that moves efficiently even when the place is bustling. It’s the kind of neighborhood pizza joint where staff remember regulars and treat first-timers with warm, down-to-earth hospitality.

Food-wise, the menu leans into classic Italian-American staples done well. The pizza offerings cover a range from hearty pepperoni and veggie combinations to more unique choices like the Greek or Mountain Pizza. Portions tend to be generous, making the dishes filling enough for lunch or dinner crowds. Beyond pizza, there’s a solid lineup of pasta options including fettuccine Alfredo, spaghetti with meat sauce, and standout cheese ravioli with pesto—each served alongside garlic bread, which makes for a simple but satisfying meal.

Uncle Vito’s is also practical for group dinners or casual family outings, thanks to its mix of calorie-packed Italian comfort foods and a reasonably priced menu that balances quality with accessibility. The addition of salads and classic sides like French fries offers some lighter or different options without straying from the hearty feel the place embodies.

Overall, this is a spot that will appeal most to people looking for dependable Italian fare with a familiar atmosphere, especially midday or early evening when the local workforce winds down. Expect a slightly dated, classic Italian restaurant vibe rather than anything trendy or polished—perfect for those who value solid food and friendly service over flash.

⭐⭐⭐⭐½ Uncle Vito’s – Great Food, Classic Vibes (Could Use a Refresh) Uncle Vito’s delivers where it matters most—the food and the service. The pizza was excellent with that perfect crust-to-sauce-to-cheese ratio, and the lasagna was downright delicious—rich, hearty, and satisfying. You can tell they put care into what they serve. Service was quick, friendly, and efficient, even during the dinner rush. It had that classic neighborhood spot energy—welcoming and low-key. That said, the interior could use a bit of an update. It feels a little worn around the edges, but honestly, the food and hospitality more than make up for it. If you're here for great Italian comfort food and an easygoing vibe, Uncle Vito’s is still a strong pick. Would definitely come back.

This was a very typical Italian restaurant (and I mean that in a very positive way). The waiter was cool, the food was great, and my salad had beans. What’s not to love? My wife got the fettuccine with baby clams. My mother got the mushroom burger with fries, and I got the lasagna. Getting through it was a challenge because the positions are huge and they are surprisingly reasonably priced! Really enjoyed our dinner here tonight and would definitely come back. The only thing I don’t like about Uncle Vito’s is I have but one stomach. Haha!

Lovely experience. We ordered the cheese ravioli pesto and the fettuccine alfredo, and they were really good. It's served with garlic bread. That plus a coke and a house wine glass totalled 43$ -41 if you pay with cash- (july 2025). The service is also great, so a place i really recommend

Great service and the food is yummy and very good portions I highly recommend the cheese ravioli pesto, the lasagna and the calzone!!! Usually is pretty easy to get a table but is small so in busy days... be ready for wait a few minutes, the longest wait that we had was 10 So family friendly

Very good. I was craving for a purely Italian pizza and I went to uncle vito's. Told the waitress and she said well the mozzarella is not like today's fresh. I respect the honesty. Pricing is great and the pizza was delicious. I wish the crust edges were a little more crispy and charred. But very delicious pizza very good service and very good environment and very good pricing. Would always come back
